Rob Kelleher Memorial Award

Rob Kelleher was elected the PBL District I Vice President at the May 1969 State Conference in Miami. The following spring, Rob attended his last PBL State Conference in Jacksonville.  Only one week later, at 12:10 am on March 22, 1970, Florida PBL (now know as Florida FBLA Collegiate) suffered a great loss when Rob died in a head-on collision while driving from Madison to Tallahassee.  His death numbed all who knew and loved him.

Rob touched the hearts of so many.  His family will always be grateful to the people who were so kind to Rob while he attended school in Florida.  It is the wish of all who knew Rob that he be remembered with the presentation each year of the Rob Kelleher Memorial Award to the most outstanding FBLA Collegiate member in Florida.

The first Rob Kelleher Memorial Award was presented to Bob Goodwin from Broward Community College at the 1971 State Conference in Miami.  Mr. Harry Kelleher (Rob’s dad) came from Pennsylvania with two of his sons to present the award.  The purpose of the award is to preserve the memory of Rob Kelleher and his contributions to our organization.  To learn more about how to apply for this award go to:
